JB Butters Return, Exchange & Replacement Policy
At JB Butters, we take pride in creating luxury body shea butters and AF Scent products with quality, care, and intention. Due to the handcrafted and personal nature of our products, all sales are final.
By purchasing from JB Butters, you acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined below.
No Refund Policy
JB Butters does not offer refunds under any circumstances.
Once an order has been placed and processed, it cannot be canceled, refunded, reversed, or exchanged for monetary value.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Change of mind
- Personal scent preference
- Ordering the wrong item
- Shipping delays caused by carriers
- Melted products due to weather or heat exposure
- Used or opened products
- Packages marked as delivered
- Incorrect shipping information entered by the customer
- “The Universe decided it loved your AF Scent and removed it from your possession.”
There will be absolutely no refunds issued.
Exchange Policy (Exchange Only)
If you believe there is a verified quality-related issue with your product, JB Butters may approve an exchange under the following conditions:
- Product must be unused and unopened
- Exchange request must be submitted within 15 days of confirmed postal delivery
- Proof of purchase and order number are required
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the issue is determined to be a verified fulfillment error by JB Butters
- Exchanges are limited to equal-value products only
- No refunds, cash reimbursements, credits, or partial reimbursements will be issued
Products that show signs of:
- use
- tampering
- wear
- damage after delivery
- improper storage
- heat exposure caused after delivery
will not qualify for exchange.
For hygiene and safety reasons, JB Butters reserves the right to deny any exchange request that does not meet these requirements.
Heat Exposure & Melting Disclaimer
JB Butters products are made with natural oils and butters that may soften, melt, or change texture during shipping or delivery, especially during warm weather months.
Melting does not affect the quality, effectiveness, fragrance, or performance of the product and is not considered a defect.
By purchasing from JB Butters, customers acknowledge and accept the possibility of melting during transit.
JB Butters is not responsible for:
- Melted or softened products caused by shipping temperatures
- Products left in mailboxes, vehicles, porches, lockers, or outdoor delivery areas
- Texture changes caused by heat exposure
- Whipped products losing their whipped appearance after melting and re-solidifying
If your butter melts:
- Allow the product to cool at room temperature
- Or refrigerate briefly until solidified
Please note:
A melted product may re-solidify with a different texture or density than its original whipped consistency. This is completely normal and does not impact product performance.
Melted products do not qualify for refunds or exchanges.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Packages
Once a package has been marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, responsibility transfers to the customer.
JB Butters is not responsible for:
- Lost packages marked as delivered
- Stolen packages
- Carrier mishandling
- Delivery delays
- Damaged packages caused during transit
- Incorrect addresses entered by the customer
If your package is lost or stolen after delivery confirmation:
- The customer must file a claim directly with the shipping carrier
- Any reimbursement or replacement determination will be handled through the carrier’s claims process
We strongly recommend:
- Double-checking your shipping address before placing your order
- Monitoring tracking updates closely
- Retrieving packages promptly after delivery
- Using secure delivery locations whenever possible
Incorrect Shipping Information
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout.
Orders shipped to incorrectly entered addresses may not qualify for replacement, refund, or reshipment.
If a package is returned to JB Butters due to an incorrect or incomplete address, additional shipping fees may apply before reshipment.
Refused or Undeliverable Packages
Packages returned due to:
- refusal
- failed delivery attempts
- unclaimed deliveries
- undeliverable addresses
may require additional shipping fees before reshipment.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Natural Product Variations
Because JB Butters products are handcrafted using natural ingredients, slight variations in:
- color
- texture
- consistency
- fragrance intensity
may naturally occur and are not considered defects.
Temperature fluctuations during shipping may also alter the whipped texture of the product without impacting quality or performance.
Allergy & Sensitivity Disclaimer
Customers are responsible for reviewing ingredient information before use.
JB Butters is not liable for:
- allergic reactions
- skin sensitivities
- misuse of products
- reactions caused by known or unknown ingredient sensitivities
If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
Policy Abuse
JB Butters reserves the right to refuse exchanges, future purchases, or customer service in cases of:
- suspected fraud
- excessive claims
- policy abuse
- chargeback abuse
- suspicious activity
